Dead bee diagnosis?

I watched a bee drag this pupae out of the hive and drop it. Thought I’d check it out. I realize there are a number of things that could cause a bee to die. I just wondered if anything jumps out to you experienced beekeepers from the pictures.

This hive was s swarm I caught in May. In July I added a few frames of comb/pollen/nectar from a failed spring NUC I bought to this hive to give it a boost. It seems a good size to me. Busy and filling up frames of honey in the top brood box at least. I have a super of undrawn frames on still but no activity in there.

Have you inspected and treated for Varroa mites? Some Hygienic bees are known to remove Pupae with mites before they hatch.

Also, we are now heading into fall and it is unlikely that bees will be parking any honey in that super. Many areas are approaching "dearth" time when robbing happens. It's time to remove the super, do a hive inspection and treat your bees for Varroa if your mite count indicates the need to do so.
