We caught a couple for closer inspection and looks like you're right! They are hairy, just a little difficult to see. We must have a wild hive somewhere on the property.

The photos are too blurry for me to see, but they are hairless; they cannot be honeybees.  Honeybees even have hair on their eyeballs.  @markgorman will know more.

I have a feeder setup a couple hundred yards from my beeyard, still working on getting inside feeders. Some of the bees attracted are hairless and dark with two stripes. Are these honeybees? I'm not seeing them in any of my hives during inspection. Others in the photo are solid black, also hairless. Thanks!
