This will be my third year beekeeping. I had two hives overwinter really well. one has been so full of bees that I stuck a honey super on it a few weeks ago to see if they would fill it. I peeked last week and most of the honey frames had a band of capped honey near the top and nectar below, on every/each frame.
My question is, when it comes time for me to split and do api life var what do I do with the honey frames if they aren’t capped enough? Won’t the nectar go bad? Can I freeze them and put them back on when I add them during blackberry bloom?
