It will take weeks to get the bees out without disassembling.

And then if successful pests will move into the hive remains.

The column must be opened up to remove the comb, and then the column must be completely sealed up, or bees will likely re-inhabit the column.

I have a friend, Dan, who is looking for someone to remove a hive from a support pillar on his front porch. He is hoping to do this without taking the column apart. The hive needs to be removed before he can sell his house. This is his description:

The hive is in the column. Bees go in and out under deck AND out top. Have had bees for 14 years in here so imagine jacked full of comb top to bottom. There is a 6x6 post in the middle of the box so there are hollows all the way through, top to bottom.

Please call or text Dan if you are interested. He lives in Sherwood:   (503) 314-5261
