Dark honey

Where does our dark honey come from here in the TV? (my favorite)

I find it separate from the lighter honey and often in the center of a frame, so that might indicate it is a later season forage? Or do they start a frame in the center?

    What have you seen?

I'd maybe attempt to separate this honey if I new where/when it comes.

    That is what I thought,

But I expected a higher ratio due to the size and length of the BB bloom.

There must be other stuff going off that the bees like better? (not dark)

Do we have Japanese Knotweed here?

Pure blackberry honey is light colored. The dark honey could be from any number of late-season sources, and generally contains more minerals and more-robust flavor than lighter varieties.
