Herbicide Kill

I am relitively new to beekeeping, starting with 2 NUCs last spring. I was able to winter over 1 colony and it was doing well. Last weekend my neighbor was spraying with a weed killing herbicide. I didn't catch him until the damage was done. My colony was dead on Monday.

My question is, do I need to replace all the foundation in the frames or can all that drawn comb be reused? I have replacement NUCs coming on the 18th.

You should not just assume the dead out is do to the herbicide.  What is the name of the herbicide.  Do a through evaluation of the hive.  If chemical kill the bees usually they are dead outside of the hive.

Thank you for the reply. I do not know the name of the weedkiller used. the owner of the 5 plex next to me is not on site.

There were some dead bees on the ground, however the majority were dead inside the hive, not in the feeder or on the frames but laying on the bottom board. I have been waiting for a dry day to take the hive apart.

After Dewy's presentation on Tuesday, I thought the hive may also have starved as his slides looked very much what I saw on the bottom board. I had just replenished the feeder with fresh syrup 2 days before, so tey had foos available.
